About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Join us at our Children’s Grief Centre for an evening of information and Q & A about what it means to parent grieving children.

When someone has a life-threatening illness, sharing information with children can be difficult.

✔ Does the child understand what is happening and what to expect?

✔ Has the child been encouraged to talk about how they are feeling?

✔ Do you think your child needs help or support? Do you?

This session will share practical information and resources to address questions people have when explaining advanced illness to kids and teens.

All our caregiver sessions will be presented by a professional counsellor experienced in supporting families with children and teens through the complexities of grief and changing family dynamics.

Parking is free.

Please RSVP by June 2nd. If you have any questions, please get in touch with Shanna at shanna.shepherd@hospicecalgary.ca, or call 403-263-4525 ext 214.

Thank you.
