Calling all helping professionals (social workers, therapists, case managers, shelter workers, nurses) for a morning workshop of education, discussion and reflection. We are inviting those in the helping professions to attend together for a unique experience to learn some approaches to support clients in learning about, setting, and maintaining boundaries.

Event Details:
- Registration is between 8:30am and 9am
- Coffee, tea and water will be provided with snacks during registration and break time
- Parking is provided at the Lions Centre, on the street, and below the venue at the baseball diamonds
- Please enter at the front door of the Lions Centre to access the Swanston Room
Meet the Facilitators:
JENNIFER MADDAN
Jennifer has been working in the field of addiction and mental health for 15 years and has been a Registered Psychotherapist since 2016. Jennifer began her work in the helping professions as a Child and Youth worker in a group home. She worked for 13 years at a community addiction centre, working in a variety of programs, including Intake, Community Withdrawal Management, Acu-detoxification Specialist, Provincial Trainer for GAIN-Q3-MI-ONT assessment, Hospital to Homes Case Manager. She is also certified in the SMART Recovery Program. Jennifer worked as the Clinical Team Lead at a residential treatment centre, supporting clients with mental health and addiction concerns. Jenn has shared her gift of facilitating over the past several years through the Question of Care campaign. Currently, she continues to support individuals in her private practice (Jennifer Maddan Counselling Services) and works part-time as a mental health clinician for the Peterborough Family Health Team.
CHERYL ROBINSON
Cheryl has been in the helping professions for over 25 years, becoming a Registered Psychotherapist in 2015. Cheryl began her work in the helping professions by serving at shelters for those experiencing homelessness. She then provided therapy at a community addiction treatment agency and was housed for several years at a Crisis program in Peterborough, helping to support clients with mental health and addiction concerns. She worked in a variety of programs such as Intake, Community Withdrawal Management, Acu-detoxification Specialist, and Provincial Trainer for GAIN-Q3-MI-ONT assessment. She is also certified in SMART Recovery and Brief Action Planning. She transitioned to her role of Clinical Practice Lead and helped to coach and mentor new staff during their orientation process. She then moved to a residential treatment center to be the Clinical Director for several years. Currently, Cheryl owns and operates Hope For Today Counselling as a Registered Psychotherapist as well as provides training and consultation in the community.
