PURPOSE
- To better understand what polarization is (and isn’t), why it's a growing problem, and how it shows up in Canada
- To (re)build the muscle of respectful disagreement
- To generate ideas for our community to reduce polarization and (re)build respectful discourse
This is a community-building event, not a partisan event, deliberately being hosted post-election as we look to our common future.
CONVENORS
We are a group of regular and diverse citizens concerned about polarization and how it impacts our community. We don't have all the answers, and this isn't an exclusive club. In a world increasingly divided by black and white, right and wrong, we feel more time in the grey, and through dialogue, matters. We hope to build a movement and need your help. Respectfully, Angela Drainville, Bev Buckway, Davida Wood, John Glynn-Morris, Mark Nelson, Matthew Bossons, and Ryan van der Marel.
