Discover how our education team uses a dance education approach to support the learning of STEAM subjects; science, technology, engineering, arts and maths. You will leave with useful ideas to bring dance into your classroom to support the learning of other subjects as well as choreographic tools to get students creating!

You will leave with a deeper understanding of the work of The Australian Ballet and how this can support curricular learning.

This session is suitable for generalist or specialist school teachers and will provide accessible ideas that complement the curriculum for dance and other learning areas.

Important Information

Please wear something comfortable and be ready to move. You may also like to bring a water bottle. The session will be part movement and part discussion and you are welcome to adapt movements, taking part only in what you are comfortable with. Dance experience is not necessary.

The session will be taught by a member of The Australian Ballet Education Team and will result in a certificate of participation (linked to AITSL standards).

The sessions are supported by resources on The Australian Ballet's EduHub. EduHub is an online resource designed for school teachers and students of all levels, which provides resources built around the works of The Australian Ballet.
