Join us for the first Teachers Life Flourish+ Talk featuring Tyler Smith. Flourish+ Talks is a quarterly series of virtual wellness speaking events that allows our Teachers Life, nowly and OTIP Members to gather as a community and hear inspiring stories from Canadian mental health keynote speakers.
Prepare to be inspired by Tyler Smith, a 21-year-old survivor of the 2018 Humboldt Broncos bus crash who shares his journey of physical and mental recovery. Since the 2018 tragedy, Tyler has gone on to win Amazing Race Canada season 9, become co-host of the 'Speak Your Mind' podcast, and founded the 'Not Alone Co' clothing line to foster meaningful conversations and donate proceeds to Canadian mental health charities. As an advocate for mental health, Tyler is passionate about sharing his story with those who may need it. His inspiring outlook emphasizes the power of conversation in building a lasting community focused on vulnerability.
During this speaking event, Tyler will delve into various topics, including trauma, tragedy, PTSD, and breaking stigmas through creating safe spaces with open dialogue.
