Fantastic Fungi

Immerse yourself in the captivating world of mushrooms at our exclusive workshop, nestled within Wind Whistle Farm on the Haldmand Tract of Treaty 18, 1818 (Mulmur, Ontario). This workshop offers a transformative experience, allowing participants to explore and understand the essential role of mushrooms in our ecosystem while fostering a deeper appreciation for these remarkable organisms.

The journey begins with a mushroom walk, an engaging field study that provides firsthand insight into the diversity and beauty of these organisms. Upon returning indoors, you'll have the opportunity to examine collected specimens, engage in discussions, and cultivate a deeper understanding of mushrooms and their significance.

Set against the scenic backdrop of the farm, quiet time and self-introspection moments provide a tranquil space for reflection and appreciation of nature's wonders. As evening falls, Cam-a-palooza offers a celebratory and indulgent experience, bringing participants closer through shared joy and camaraderie.

The workshop also includes a gathering featuring discussions on philosophy, meditation, and quiet time in nature, allowing for introspection and connection with the environment. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of mushrooms and their unique methods of survival, including symbiosis, saprophytism, and parasitism, showcasing their fascinating adaptation to life without chlorophyll.

This enriching experience, offered at a sliding scale cost of $280-380, invites participants to bring their own tents and camping materials for a comfortable stay. As we part ways on Sunday evening, you'll depart with a newfound reverence for mushrooms and the natural world, carrying with you memories and insights that will last a lifetime.
