Frequently asked questions

Is the site physically accessible? Have other physical accessibility questions?

We are a working farm and garden with uneven ground. As such, some of our spaces are more accessible than others. If you want to ask more about the physical accessibility of our space, please reach out to Nicole at LandOfDreams@ccisab.ca

Where is the workshop? What if the weather is bad?

Weather permitting, we'll be outdoors at the Land of Dreams or in the ATCO trailer at the Land. If the weather takes a turn for the worse, we'll let you know where our back location will be as soon as possible.

Are children able to join?

Yes! All participants (children included) participating in workshop activities will charged for registration and workshop fees. This workshop includes hands-on activities and involves a balance of speaking and demonstrations from Janet and other participants.

Are washrooms available on site?

Yes! Our portapotties are installed on-site starting on May 1!

What should I wear?

Weather permitting, our workshop will involve some hands on work in our demostration garden bed. Wear clothes and shoes that you feel comfortable getting dusty, dirty or maybe even muddy! If the weather takes a turn for the worse, we have a heated backup location.

Do I need to bring anything?

Almost all of our workshop supplies will be provided for you. If you would like a warm drink during the workshop please bring a mug for us to fill up! If you like to take notes, please bring a notebook and pen. Reach out if you have any other questions!
