BACKGROUND:

This session is not for Non DBE certified small businesses.

The DBE Program is a federal program established by the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) to create a level playing field for small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals.

The program helps certified firms compete for transportation-related contracts funded by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Federal Transit Administration (FTA), and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). In Virginia, the program is administered by the Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity (SBSD).

This is not a session to learn how to be certified for DBE for the first time.

It is a session designed for businesses already DBE certified but needing updates on the next process. It is an interactive certification session where participants will receive practical guidance from experienced DBE state and federal certification specialists.
