Chicken Cull Workshop
Join Rachel and Sóley for a transformative chicken culling workshop in the breathtaking surroundings of Mulmur, Ontario. Over a day and a half, we'll embark on a journey to deepen our connection with the food we consume and the animal beings that inhabit this beautiful land.
During this workshop, we'll learn the process of dispatching chickens, which have been loved and cared for on this very land. Our intention is to foster understanding and develop skills to honor the food we consume with respect and appreciation.
Throughout the experience, we'll hold space for each other gently, acknowledging that we all come from different starting points and comfort levels with this new practice. We aim to create a supportive and spiritual environment, embracing this sensitive task with reverence.
The workshop will be an immersive experience, with an overnight stay in tents or other comfortable sleeping arrangements to fully immerse ourselves in the process. Delicious meals will be provided, and we kindly ask participants to bring a side dish to support the special chicken dinner we'll share.
Join us on October 12 & 13 as we embark on this journey of connection, understanding, and mindful reflection with the animals and food that sustain us. Let's come together with respect and appreciation for this spiritual practice.
