Who’s who,

Albert N Miso are owned & operated by husband & wife team Steve & Charlie Brown. Living our best lives, working & raising three wild boys here on the beautiful South Coast of NSW. We relocated to the South Coast in 2017, leaving behind multiple successful hospitality businesses in the pursuit of sun, sand & space to grow our family. We are now certified locals deeply intertwined with our local community & love nothing more than connecting with anyone & everyone that lives or visits the area. We really do feel incredibly grateful every day that we get to call this little slice of paradise home.

Chef Steve (hubby) fell in love with the hospitality industry more than 20+ years ago when he discovered a love of food, working in some of the best restaurants in the UK & Australia his experience expands across all areas, working alongside celebrity chefs, in 3 hat restaurants to managing teams of 25+ chefs in large production kitchens & creating, building & scaling his own catering companies. There isn't much he hasn't been exposed to & what this experience has revealed to him is a genuine love & appreciation for simple, wholesome, honest food that is rich in flavor, easy on the eye & nourishes the body, mind & soul.

Phoebe's Kitchen

Phoebe learned customer service from an early age. She was 10 when her family took over the Hyams Beach General Store and quickly assumed a position on the cash register.

As soon as she could reach the top of the kitchen benches she moved to that side of the counter and has been there just about ever since in London (where she prepared lunch for Jamie Oliver), Sydney (where she managed a large in house kitchen for Macquarie Bank), a short stint in Huskisson, back to Hyams Beach (only for 10 years this time) and now finally in her own business in Vincentia at “Phoebe’s Kitchen”.

Somehow along the way she managed to fit in a commerce degree at ANU.

She still prefers the “back room” ensuring the best ingredients, an original menu, close attention to detail and the maintenance of high standards of service and quality.
