Learn more about the 2024 State Library Victoria Fellowship Program in these information sessions.

You can attend either our Arts Access Victoria-led information session online or an onsite session which will also be livestreamed.

The 2024 Fellowship Program invites artists, writers and researchers across disciplines to immerse themselves in the State Collection and bring it to life in unique and innovative ways.

Fellows receive access to Library staff expertise, an office space around the magnificent Dome, a generous stipend and the opportunity to fulfil their creative passions and research ambitions.

The sessions will provide helpful tips so you feel encouraged, prepared and confident about submitting your application. We will cover:

  • Key selection criteria
  • A Q&A session


State Library Victoria is working in partnership with Arts Access Victoria in 2024.

We encourage applications from people who are either d/Deaf or Disabled. Arts Access Victoria support is available during the application process.

Frequently asked questions

What is the format of the information session?

The information session will include State Library Victoria staff and guest presenters who will speak about the various fellowships on offer and important aspects of the Fellowship Program at the Library. These presentations will take around one hour.

Will I have a chance to ask questions?

Yes, there will be approximately 25 minutes Q&A after the presentations. We encourage attendees to send questions in advance to fellows@slv.vic.gov.au. An Auslan Interpreter will be available throughout. We may not address all the questions during Q&A, send anything unanswered to the fellows email.

Will information from the sessions be shared?

You can request accessible word documents with key information and a PDF copy of the Powerpoint presentation featured in the session via fellows@slv.vic.gov.au. Images used in the powerpoint presentation will be audio described
