About this event

The Central Alberta Regional Museum Network (CARMN) invites you to join us in Red Deer for our networks first Conference for professionals working in small museums.

In response to local struggles of the several few years, we felt it was time for members and potential members to get together. We all need opportunities to talk to one another and to learn about topics that concern our small museums instead of topics that, though important to the industry, seem too large a task for small, typically volunteer run, organizations to implement into their daily operations.

For our first conference, rather than having an overarching theme, we felt that what would benefit the membership most would be to present to you the topics you asked for. Topics that you tell us again and again that you need more help or education on. This conference is about creating new things; contacts within our museum community, knowledge bases, and professional relationships.

There are currently a limited number of spots for dinner. If you are interested in attending it and the add-on tickets are sold out, please contact the CARMN President, Nicole Johnson, by email at centralalbertamuseums@gmail.com or by phone at 403-340-3511
