OMO
Oakland Mills Online, or OMO, is a community organization founded to serve people connected to Howard County by providing a multi-generational social learning environment with workshops led by community volunteers. Our goal is to support the mental and emotional health of our extended community during this challenging time by giving them a virtual place to meet and learn together.
OMO aims to give children, families, and adults a chance to meet digitally for fun workshops, book discussions, and more, bringing subject matter experts, speakers, and artists together to offer lessons and chats about a variety of topics.
Created by Amy Brooks and Jessica Mahajan to support their close-knit community of Oakland Mills in Howard County, Maryland, at the start of quarantine and now expanded to anyone with an interest in our sessions, OMO aims to make the most of our great people resources to keep learning happening and our connection to community growing.
Thanks to all the helpers, presenters, tech supporters, and moderators, and to all those cheerful faces and insightful voices that lift our spirits during sessions! With support provided by Jessie Patterson, Rachel Berman, and Hannah Vogel, we're excited to keep learning and growing together.
