Stephan attended his first yoga class during college in 2007, using it to train for two half marathons in 2011. This regular practice transformed his physical and mental well-being. In 2020, Stephan left the bustling city of Chicago for the serene mountains, deepening his connection with nature and yoga. He completed his 200-hour yoga teacher training in the spring of 2020, improving his understanding of yoga philosophy, anatomy, and teaching techniques.
