The assignment of the Macao Health Code would be to assist the people of Macao in keeping their general well being by means of a series of assessments and therapeutic modalities based on the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Health Problems utilized internationally. The principal areas covered in this syllabus are'Thematic Management','Cerebral Palsy and Its Prevention',''Maternal Health and Community Development','Meningitis and its Treatment' and'Rheumatic and skeletal ailments'. The key concepts driving the development of the syllabus are: the recognition that human differences and individual causative agents determine individual answers; the significance of community-based care instead of institutional care; the interdependence of individuals; and the importance of research studies. The primary resources used in this syllabus would be the MACao Health Code, WHO International Classification of Diseases, World Health Organization, and the Joint Commission International's Global Burden of Disease study.
There are eight major focus areas contained in the design of the Macao Health Code. The first focuses on early identification and prevention of ailments. This area addresses the observation of Hong Kong residents' food intake during the weekdays and the days following meals as well as the frequency of intakes of drinks other than water at home and at the office. The second area focuses on the evaluation of micronutrient intake for a basis for nutrient evaluation of the macao Hong Kong residents. The next area addresses the evaluation of calcium along with vitamin D in urine samples in addition to blood samples.
The fourth place focuses on the observation of serum antioxidant aspects. The fifth focuses on the observation of blood pressure levels and glucose levels. The sixth focuses on observation of the CADR or the Chinese Crested Currency Rate. The seventh targets the documentation of the contact particulars of the Hong Kong resident's family and get numbers of their private health practitioners and their corresponding clinics.
The Macao Health Code also contains the provisions for the documentation of emergency healthcare. It stipulates the location of their closest hospital with an emergency department. The emergency medical care of those Hong Kong residents is provided by the closest hospitals as recorded in the emergency room. In order to facilitate the documentation of the individual's condition, the designated health officer of the area is needed to accompany the patient into the hospital. The emergency room doctor in Hong Kong can give instructions or refer the patient to the right specialist. In case the hospital is not recorded in the emergency room, the local doctor may offer instructions.
To be able to make certain that the Macao Health Code is observed, a Macao Health Declaration form has to be available locally. This form is obtained from the local government office and affixed to the door of the residence of the resident. The form comprises the personal information of the resident and contact numbers of the loved ones and immediate relatives, in addition to the contact number of the closest physician in the area. When a resident is hospitalized, his hospitalization report is generally attached to his private declaration form. In the event of little children, the doctor should be contacted immediately so that the child could be returned to the home in 1 piece.
The electronic health declaration form can be gathered at any of the Health Ministry offices around the date indicated on the form. On collecting the shape from the Health Ministry office, it is stamped with the seal of the Health Ministry and forwarded for signature by the applicant. The applicant can then proceed to sign the digital health declaration form and return to the concerned local Health Department for verification. On receipt of this signature of the applicant, his case is verified and his certificate of eligibility has been issued.
