Mark Twain Area Peer Support Team
Mark Twain Area Peer Support Team
We are a multi-disciplinary peer support team serving first responders across six counties in Northeast Missouri. Our team includes police officers, firefighters, EMS professionals, dispatchers, and licensed mental health clinicians who share a common mission: to provide confidential, compassionate support for those who serve our communities.
We host specialized trainings, workshops, and peer support events designed to strengthen resilience, reduce the impact of critical incident stress, and build stronger connections between agencies. Our trainings include introductory and advanced courses in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM), as well as scenario-based peer support practice.
Our mission is simple but vital: to stand beside first responders in their toughest moments and ensure that no one has to carry the weight of trauma alone.
