Hi, I’m Mama Cheryl, the heart behind Mama Cheryl’s Kitchen. Born and raised in New Orleans, I now call NYC home and am passionate about bringing the soulful flavors of my hometown to the city I love. Those flavors—rich with tradition, love, and family—are hard to find here, and they carry some of my fondest childhood memories.

Alongside my daughter Sarah, we’re sharing the comfort of a Sunday dinner at our family table with New Yorkers looking for real home-cooked Southern food. What began with pastries, desserts, and a great cup of chicory coffee is growing into something bigger—bringing the bold cuisine of New Orleans and deep Southern traditions to life, one dish at a time.
