Terms and Conditions – registering for events at the London School of Economics and Political Science
By registering you are accepting all of the terms and conditions set out below in clauses 1-5 inclusive.
1.0 Registering your place1.1 Your attendance fee must be paid at the time of booking. You will receive a confirmation email of your booking and payment. 1.2 LSE Department of Statistics (hereinafter ‘LSE Stats’) reserves the right to cancel registrations at any stage which do not meet our registration criteria. Registration criteria, if applicable, will be provided under ‘event description’1.3 LSE Stats reserves the right to refuse any registration and to refuse to supply any goods or services to any individual. 1.4 LSE Stats cannot confirm your place at the event until payment is received. 1.5 LSE Stats may refuse entry to the event for delegates who have not completed payment in full.
2.0 Delegate substitutions and cancellations 2.1 Substitutions are accepted until 5 working days before an event, at no extra charge but must be sent in advance in writing to statistics.events@lse.ac.uk. 2.2 Notice of cancellation received in writing more than 14 days prior to the event will be issued a refund of their registration fee. 2.3 Cancellations received 14 days or less prior to the event will not receive a refund.
3.0 Programme alterations 3.1 LSE Stats reserves the right to alter the content and timing of the event, the identity of the speakers, location and/or the venue. 3.2 LSE Stats will not be liable for any costs or losses incurred as a result of alterations to the programme.
4.0 Postponement or Cancellation of event by LSE Stats4.1 Should the event be postponed for any reason attendees will be entitled to receive a full refund in respect of the registration fees unless force majeure applies. 4.2 Should the event be cancelled for any reason attendees will be entitled to receive a full refund in respect of the registration fees unless force majeure applies. 4.3 LSE Stats will not be liable to you for any costs or losses you incur as a result of postponement or cancellation.
5.0 Force Majeure Circumstances 5.1 Should LSE Stats be unable to perform any obligations under these Terms and Conditions due to causes or circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to any Act of God, war or threatened war, terrorism or threatened terrorism, fire, flood, drought, strike, lock out or actions of the venue, LSE Stats will not be liable to you for any losses or claims arising from this. 5.2 In the event that you are unable to attend the event due to causes or circumstances beyond your reasonable control, but the LSE Stats event remains unaffected, LSE Stats will not be liable to you for any costs or losses. These circumstances include but are not limited to any Act of God, war or threatened war, terrorism or threatened terrorism, fire, flood, drought or strike.
