Lisa Freeman, PhD
Lisa Freeman, PhD, earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a licensed psychologist in private practice who works with adults of all ages. She begins therapy with a careful assessment of each client’s needs and goals, which often include overcoming anxiety, depression, or low self-esteem. She helps clients develop stress management skills, including during life transitions such as menopause. She also has extensive experience in helping individuals with chronic pain address the emotional challenges of living with long-term conditions. But beyond symptom relief – simply feeling “ok” -- Dr. Freeman encourages clients to explore what would bring greater happiness and fulfillment in life. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Freeman occasionally conducts psychological evaluations for clinical drug research. She has also served on the Maryland Psychological Association Board of Directors.
