KOTR Dance Studio

KOTR (Konpa on the Rise) – also known as @wikotr on Social Media – is more than just a dance studio. We’re a dance movement looking to reshape and reinvent Haiti’s pop cultural dance called Konpa Dancing. We aim to rebuild interest of the dance style to neighboring dance communities, Haitian Music Industry (HMI), Event Planners & Promoters, and the public.

To better spread worldwide awareness of Haitian Konpa Dancing, we showcase the style through performances/public demonstrations, private sessions, open workshops, and social media posts. KOTR University will soon be a virtual platform for teaching our dance curriculum for those who can’t visit our classes or can’t attend a remote popup class.
