Joan has built a career in dance that began when she started ballet at just 4 years old. By the age of 16, Joan opened her first dance school, and by 21, she had earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Dance and Movement from the UK. She later advanced her expertise with a Postgraduate Degree in Dance and Movement Psychotherapy. Besides working with Elders with Dementia, Fighting Blindness with Dance, Joan organises CEROC DUBLIN which is couple dancing for everyone
For Joan, dance is medicine—a powerful healing tool for the mind and body, especially for matters of the heart. She believes that dance connects us, not just to ourselves, but to each other. It’s a rare space where we can experience and offer positive touch in a safe and uplifting way.
