IN A LANDSCAPE: Classical Music in the Wild

Hunter Noack performs on a nine-foot Steinway grand piano at 13 spectacular landscapes across Oregon and Southern Washington, from Astoria Column to the Alvord Desert, from Crater Lake to Baker City and Pendleton. Wireless headphones, available on a first-come, first-served basis, give concertgoers freedom to watch the musicians, or wander through secret glens, lie in sunny meadows and roam old growth forests.

Select concerts will feature one or more special guests—violinist Nicholas Crosa, cellist Pansy Chang, singer Katie Harman Ebner (Miss America 2002), Pink Martini band leader Thomas M. Lauderdale, members of Portland Chamber Orchestra, Rogue Valley Symphony, Eugene Symphony, Sunriver Music Festival Young Artists Program, or Hood River String Quartet—who will join Hunter to perform music of Liszt, Schubert, Brahms, Ravel, Bloch, and Cage.
