Do It With Class Young People’s Theatre Inc. (DIWC) is a performing arts theatre company, unique to Saskatchewan, which fosters the development of high-level performing arts skills in children and youth ranging in age from 8-18.

DIWC provides talented Saskatchewan youth with performance opportunities and training in a range of performance arts, including dance, voice, drama, and musical theatre production.

We train Saskatchewan’s theatre artists of the future.

Many graduates of the company have gone on to become professional performers, including Paul Nolan, who is currently playing Guy in Once on Broadway and who recently played Jesus in the ever- popular Jesus Christ Superstar, on Broadway; Tatiana Maslany, who stars in the BBC America series Orphan Black; Amy Matysio, who plays Kenny in the comedy series Single White Spenny, currently airing on Showcase, Jacqueline Burtney as Purity and Erma in Roundabout Theatre’s production of Anything Goes;  and many others such as Jeff Irving, Kyle Golemba, Tess Degenstein, Sara-Lys Huck and Ingrid Nilsen.

But it’s not just the performers who benefit from the company.  Nearly 1,000 school children and youth take in DIWC productions each year.  DIWC offers an opportunity for these youth to experience the performing arts, theatre and the works of classical authors  in a manner that is tailored to youth.

Under the direction of Robert Ursan, the company delivers theatre and musical theatre productions of the highest quality for its audiences.  A talented performer, writer and composer himself, a number of the productions including Alice in Wonderland, Snow Queen and Little Prince have been created, written and the music composed by Ursan.

A registered non-profit corporation which was originally founded in 1993 by Andorlie Hillstrom, Do It With Class offers 3 major full scale productions annually at the University of Regina Riddell Theatre and Regina’s Conexus Arts Centre.
