I’m Derek Chaudhuri, a full-time Realtor® with Kline May Realty in Harrisonburg, Virginia. I help buyers, sellers, and investors make confident decisions in the Shenandoah Valley real estate market, with a special focus on Harrisonburg, Rockingham County, and the surrounding communities. As a buyer agent, I’m especially passionate about working with first-time homebuyers and clients purchasing investment or secondary homes. Harrisonburg and the surrounding communities offer a mix of suburban neighborhoods, historic homes, and long-term investment opportunities, which can be overwhelming for buyers. I guide my clients through every step, understanding market trends, evaluating properties, and navigating inspections and offers so they feel confident and informed throughout the process. I also bring real-world investing experience as the owner of Faithful Home Buying, LLC and through managing our own vacation rental property with my wife, which gives me firsthand knowledge of what makes a property a strong long-term investment. I leverage the latest tools and technology to help clients find the right home quickly and efficiently.

As a listing agent, I help homeowners showcase their properties effectively to attract the right buyers and maximize value. From preparing homes for the market, pricing strategically, marketing across online and local channels, to negotiating offers, I manage every aspect of the selling process. I use the latest market tools to ensure your home receives maximum exposure and to help the selling process run smoothly and efficiently.

Before real estate, I worked in roles that required problem-solving, people skills, negotiation, detail orientation, communication, and service, which shaped the client-centered approach I use today. My goal is to create lifelong relationships built on trust and results, not pressure or sales tactics.

I’m a James Madison University graduate, and my wife and I are actively involved in the community, including supporting the University of Virginia Children’s Hospital and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), which is especially dear to our hearts because our 9-year-old daughter was a NICU baby. I also serve as the current President of the PTSO at Stone Spring Elementary School, and we are proud parents of four children.
