Clara White Mission

For more than a century, the Clara White Mission have helped Jacksonville’s homeless veterans and low-income gain a new perspective on life.

The Clara White Mission was founded by Dr. Eartha M. M. White,Dr. White was a nationally known humanitarian, whose compassion for humanity compelled her to develop a number of social service programs that still exist today. Named in memory of her mother, Clara White Mission was established in 1904.

The Mission’s one-stop community development center restores lives through our daily feeding, job training in culinary arts/janitorial & environmental services, employment placement, case management, life skills, drop-in center, housing initiatives, and more. The continuum of these inter-related programs is established to support workforce development and assist chronically homeless and low-income clients prioritizing veterans and ex-offenders to transition into independence and achieve self-sufficiency.
