Building Opportunities for Self-Sufficiency
The mission of BOSS is to help homeless, poor, and disabled people achieve health and self-sufficiency and to fight against the root causes of poverty and homelessness. BOSS operates programs across Alameda County that help people achieve living wage jobs and affordable housing to become healthy, contributing community members.
We are dedicated to creating impactful events that promote our mission of helping homeless, poor, and disabled individuals achieve health and self-sufficiency while addressing the root causes of poverty and homelessness.
Throughout the year, we host various events that unite our community and raise awareness about the issues we aim to combat. These include the Rising Stars Celebration of Hope, Mental Wellness Block Parties, Black August Block Parties, Open Houses, Groundbreaking ceremonies, and Breaking Barriers events. Each event serves as a platform to inspire, educate, and empower individuals from diverse backgrounds.
