Build Homes, Build Community

Build Homes, Build Community is a non-partisan coalition dedicated to bringing common sense, research driven solutions to solve Maine's housing crisis, and help build the 80,000 new homes Maine needs by 2030. We educate and inspire residents, businesses, municipalities, and policy makers on how they can and need to become part of the housing solution in their own way, big or small.

BHBC is led by these respected member organizations: Maine State Chamber of Commerce, Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce, Maine Affordable Housing Coalition (MAHC) and the Maine State Real Estate & Development Association (MEREDA).
