Bridges Collaborative Care Clinic
Bridges Collaborative Care Clinic (BCCC) is a free, student-run clinic and 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides participant-centered and trauma-informed health and social services out of the Transition Projects network. In order to provide holistic care, BCCC utilizes a multi-disciplinary approach, offering participants a unique experience with student collaboration from the fields of medicine dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, public health, community health, counseling, and social work.
Since we opened our medical clinic in October 2017, we have worked to improve continuity of care and to bring our participants more comprehensive services. 2021 and 2022 will be our biggest years yet! In 2021, we will bolster our medical clinic by adding more robust point-of-care lab services, open our dental clinic in the Bud Clark Commons Day Center, continue to offer COVID-19 vaccines (in addition to the 6 other vaccines that we have offered at vaccine clinics), place permanent vaccine storage infrastructure in our medical clinic, and foster our collaboration with Asian Health Services. On the horizon, we have plans to offer sexual and reproductive health services as well as harm reduction services. Students continue to seek ways to bridge the gap for our participants, and any purchases will go directly to providing healthcare for folks within the TPI community.
