Between the Seas: Mediterranean Performance Lab

Between the Seas is a performing arts organization operating in Athens (Greece) and New York City (USA). Our mission is to promote contemporary Mediterranean performing artists by presenting, producing and nurturing new work; familiarize audiences in the Mediterranean, USA and beyond, with the latest developments in the performing arts from the Mediterranean; create a common platform for Mediterranean and US-based performing artists to share their work, exchange experiences, practices and ideas; encourage new partnerships between institutions and individuals on both sides of the Atlantic.

Our activities are organized around three main initiatives: an annual festival of contemporary Mediterranean performing arts in New York City (2011-2019); a residency for Mediterranean artists in the Southern Greek town of Monemvasia (2017-present); year long programming in our space in Athens, Greece (2019-present).
