Ed. Opal’s mission is to create greater equity in the world by delivering culturally relevant personal finance guidance to groups that the personal finance industry has historically overlooked. We’re focused on supporting one of the most overlooked demographics in the United States: Black women

We aim to leave the world a little bit better than we found it by helping to facilitate the collateral, positive impact that comes from supporting women, especially those from marginalized backgrounds, and giving them the resources they need to take an active role in our economy and society.

Our courses and course collections focus on

• Addressing personal finance knowledge gaps
• Creating a safe space to explore the mental and psychological aspects of managing money
• Providing the historical, political, and systematic context that impacts buying decisions on an individual level
