About this event

  • 2 hours

There is so much under the streets of London and most of it we take for granted. This walk is about things underground. We'll visit some underground spaces - a church crypt, the remains of London's largest tea warehouse, an underground market, overlooked London Underground heritage, bits of Roman London and what is probably London's deepest shop. We'll also see some things on the surface, ventilation shafts for a bomb proof telephone exchange, the entrance to a Victorian tunnel and a closed down Underground Station. All the places we will visit are normally open to the public (but you might not know they are there!)
