About this event

  • 5 hours 30 minutes

In November of 2021, Plant One Cornwall worked with the local community to plant 450 trees at the stunning Tregew Barn. This site has amazing views of Falmouth and the Fal Estuary, promising to be a gorgeously wholesome outdoor event.

A range of activities are required to enhance the growth of this young woodland such as mulching, weeding and sometimes tube removal! Additionally, we'll be adding tubes and stakes to the wild-growing whips that are springing up naturally on site.

We'll provide training on baby tree identification as well as free refreshments (tea, coffee, water and biscuity om-noms*). Attendees will be required to provide their own pack lunch.

If you fancy getting involved in a local cause that's creating habitat for wildlife, come along and get involved! Arrival is at 10:00 but you can leave when you like (although the site will officially close at 16:00).

*GF and Vegan options will be available.

We regret to announce that this site and event isn't suitable for those who are physically disabled or elderly due to it's very steep incline. Good footware & gloves are a must.

NB. You're likely aware that the weather plays an important part in the work we do, we reserve the right to rearrange a date should the weather be agin us.

Additionally, please make sure your staff are dressed for the weather - hopefully with sun hats, suncream, lighter clothing and plenty of water, but maybe back up waterproofing too! We also highly recommend gardening gloves.
