This face-to-face symposium is a unique collaboration between the National Association for Pastoral Care in Education (NAPCE) and Stranmillis University College, Belfast. It seeks to bring together educational practitioners from a range of school settings in Northern Ireland to identify the current pastoral challenges facing schools as we emerge from the Covid-19 pandemic and enter a period of significant budget cuts. The symposium features contributions from Koulla Yiasouma, the former Children’s Commissioner for NI, and three local schools, each of which has won awards for their outstanding pastoral care. There will be presentations and time for group discussion, as well as informal networking and sharing of experiences and ideas.
