About this event

What is generasiREuse?

generasiREuse (genReuse for short) is a campaign initiative by Greenpeace Malaysia. Our mission: to spark a generational shift in how we view, use, and refuse plastics — starting with everyday dining.

By collaborating with restaurants through the support of passionate volunteers, we’re building a network of businesses committed to sustainable practices. From promoting reuse systems to reducing reliance on single-use plastics, these partnerships showcase how small, collective actions can create a significant impact.

Why does it matter?

Because it’s where plastic shows up every single day.

Food culture is deeply personal, communal, and influential. By targeting plastic use in restaurants, cafés, and takeaways, we have a powerful opportunity to:

  • Reduce unnecessary waste at the source
  • Shift consumer habits through real-world change
  • Inspire food businesses to lead by example

This is more than just plastic reduction — it’s cultural transformation.
