Waypoint Crew is committed to uniting a close-knit crew of outdoor enthusiasts and adventure seekers through exploring spectacular routes in London, the UK and beyond!
Join us for our first-ever Paddle 'n' Pint where we'll be starting from Richmond, paddling down the River Thames between Richmond Bridge and Teddington Lock, stopping at the White Swan pub for a well-deserved drink and then continue paddling back down the river to our starting point (2.5 hours in total).

Event Schedule:
11:00am - Meet at River Lane in Richmond and enjoy some much-needed pastries/breakfast snacks courtesy of Waypoint Crew!
11:20am - 11:40am - Sign your declaration if you haven't done so already (we will circulate via email before the event). You’ll receive a (re)introduction to paddling from the SUP boarding company, along with some guidance on where to paddle, and they will provide you with a dry bag that you can use to take a towel, food, phone and wallet with you.
11:40am - Paddling towards Twickenham, you’ll get to explore the islands and backwaters of the Thames, before mooring up to pause for a pint at The White Swan along the way. You’ll have time for a quick drink before returning to the river to paddle back to Petersham Meadows and River Lane (2.5 hours in total).
2:00pm - Once back, you’ll return your dry bags, buoyancy aids, paddles and craft and for those wanting to stick around we can grab some drinks/food at a local pub.

You will need to complete your declaration with the SUP boarding company before the event. We will send this via email for you to complete.
Photography & Videography Consent:
Photographers and videographers may join for this event. By signing up, you consent to the use of your photos and videos captured during the day for marketing and promotional purposes.
Refund Policy
Refunds will only be given if the event is cancelled. If you can no longer attend, you're more than welcome to sell your ticket to someone else, however, please email us if you do so.

Frequently asked questions
Each person must be able to paddle independently. You should be confident on and around water and need to be able to swim 50 metres.
Each person will receive a (re)introduction to paddling. You will start the session paddling on your knees before transitioning to standing. A degree of flexibility is needed to do this.
Lots of water, a towel, flip flops/sandals, wallet, suncream.
For all of our SUP adventures we recommend that you wear shorts, running tights, or similar, and wear a t-shirt with additional layers appropriate for the day. You also need footwear to paddle with, for example flip flops or sandals.
If you're 18 or over and live in and around London, you're invited to this event. Our diverse crew welcomes all genders with an average age range of 20-45. You don't need to be mega fit, but be prepared for an arm workout!
Absolutely! Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or a first-time explorer, our community is designed to welcome everyone with open arms. Since we're just launching, the majority of our community members will be in the same boat—excited to meet other like-minded outdoorsy people!
