Wander Wild - Outdoor learning and fun for pre-schoolers

Ready to wander wild with your pre-schooler?!

Stay and play in the Barking Food Forest with us and allow your little one to raise their happiness through outdoor exploration. Whittling, outdoor cooking, tent building, bug hunting, mud kitchen, wild play, nature art, theatre and songs!

Learn about the different seasons, local animals and plants.

Sessions are aimed at 5 year olds and under, supervised by an accompanying adult.

Venue: Barking Food Forest

Meeting point: Come through the big green gates via the small car park (by Barking Riverside LEYF nursery).

There is limited parking at the Barking Food Forest. You can get the EL2 bus, and get off at the ‘Northgate Road’ stop or get the EL1 towards Barking Riverside to the Riverside Campus stop.

Alternatively, The Barking Food Forest is approximately a 10 minute walk from the new Barking Riverside Overground Station and the Uber Boat by Thames Clippers Pier.

Time: 10.30am – 11.30am

Age group: 5 years and under.

Date: Every Saturday. Future dates are released every Monday at 5 PM.

Cost: Pay-what-you-can via donations ticket for 1st child.

Booking: Booking in advance is essential as places are limited. 1 ticket per child. Additional children at a cost of £2 per additional child.

Refund policy: If you have booked a ticket and are no longer able to attend please refund the ticket/make a request at least 24 hours before the session so we are able to allocate it to another family. If you do not notify us we will be unable to provide you with a ticket for future events.

Health & Safety:

Please inform us of any Medical Conditions for every participant.

Emergency contact info needed - must be different from parent/carer attending if only one adult is present (phone number and name required).

Photo Consent form to be completed (opt-out possible).

Important information:

An adult must stay for the duration of the event.

Please bring water with you.

If you complete the photo consent form on arrival, you give consent for you and all members of your party to be photographed and filmed . Your image will be used in marketing by Wander Wild Forest School and its partners on various platforms including, but not exclusive to social media, website, press and other marketing platforms. Your image may be used for up to 5 years.

GDPR

Your data will be stored by event organisers, Wander Wild Forest School for 12 months.

How is my data used? Your data will be used only in internal reporting, to measure where our guests come from.
