Brentwood Community Safety Partnership and Essex Police are offering free Self-Defence classes to combat violence against women or girls. These sessions are not only aimed at prevention , but also are suitable for anyone who has been affected by an attack as a tool to regain confidence. These sessions will be 60 mins long, and can cover lots of different aspects, from situational awareness, escapes, de-escalation, pre-emptive & defensive strikes, defence against knives or improvised weapons as well as the law and use of reasonable force. These sessions can also be tailored to individual scenarios which any attendees would like specific advice and coaching on.
Any level of fitness or self-defence experience are welcome! Sessions are free to attend and will be held fortnightly from 20:45 - 21:45 at St Martin's Secondary School, Hanging Hill Lane, Brentwood, CM13 2HG.
