Summary

We will hike the popular 5 day Salkantay trek that leads to Machu Picchu. This is a very scenic route as you will see the range of beautiful scenery. It is much better than the ordinary Inca trial; with better scenery, higher altitude and sleeping in pods and huts - NOT tents!

Itinerary

• Day 1: Flight from London Heathrow. The group will assemble at the airport flight gate and stay together till they arrive. Feel free to do your own think at the airport and transit BUT be disciplined with the flight times.

• Day 2 & 3: After a journey of approximately 18 hours, the group will land in Cuzco airport where we will be transported to our hotel in the city centre where we will stay. This night you have to catch up fully on sleep and adjust to the high altitude. Then you will have a free day the day after.

• Day 4 - Cusco Soraypampa to Soyroccocha (sleeping in pod)

• Day 5 – Soyroccocha to Collpapampa (sleeping in hut)

• Day 6 – Collpapampa to Lucmabamba (sleeping in hut)

• Day 7: La Playa – Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu town) where we sleep the night in a hostel.

• Day 8 – Visiting Machu Picchu for the day the going back to the hotel in Cuzco.

• Day 9: A free day. You can do a Cuzco tour here and a bit of shopping. We also recommend a bit of quad biking if you have got the energy! If you are feeling filled with energy and revitalised you can do a day trek in the Rainbow Mountain - this is epic!

• Day 10: Flight from Cuzco back to UK (overnight flight)

THE CAUSE: GAZA EMERGENCY RESPONSE APPEAL

Palestinian lives mostly women and children, have been tragically lost in the escalation of violence in Gaza, which is now devastatingly reaching the three-month mark. Thousands more civilians endure life- threatening injuries; the toll is predicted to escalate as the onslaught of airstrikes continue. The situation is deteriorating at an alarming pace, with children bearing the heaviest burden of this devastation.

As the situation in Gaza continues to escalate and the need for humanitarian access becomes more crucial, our team is working tirelessly to ensure the safe delivery of aid to Gaza as soon as possible.

You will be fundraising for essential delivery of critical emergency aid, life-saving sustenance, and urgent medical care to those in desperate need.

How your fundraising will be used:

  • £100 can provide emergency first aid items and medicine to 40 people.
  • £180 can provide a family with both food and Non-Food Item (NFI) vouchers in Gaza.
  • £420 can support an orphan for a full year.
  • £1,000 can provide access to clean water for over 500 individuals in Gaza.
  • £1,800 can offer financial aid to sustain a family for an entire year.
  • £5,000 can supply vital medical supplies to a hospital in Gaza
