TRAFFORD BUSINESS START UP NETWORK – Urmston Library - Tuesday 21st May 2024 from 10.30am-12pm
This event is aimed at new business start-ups in Trafford. If you are just starting up your own business or maybe you’ve already started trading, then come along to our friendly networking event to meet other people doing the same.
During the friendly and informative session you will get the chance to:-
- Speak to business advisers about your business ideas and plans
- Network with other entrepreneurs
- Find out more about starting a community business or social enterprise
- Hear from local people who have started their own business
- Learn about the support available for business start ups
This month's network event will feature Joe Drury, Build a Business who will be looking at the importance of market research when developing your business. Joe will be discussing:
- Why market research is key to the business planning and the continued development of businesses.
- What can happen if you don’t do market research.
- Different types of market research and how to do this know and understand your customers.
We will also have Mark Bamford from Trafford Council who will be providing an overview of the Trafford Shop Improvement Grants. This is a new grant fund offering up to £10,000 match funding towards the refurbishment costs of town centre retail premises in Altrincham, Sale, Stretford, and Urmston. Mark will also be taking any questions you may have about the scheme.
