Please join us for a fantastic all inclusive evening in the beautiful grounds of the Wardroom HMS Nelson.


A three-course dinner in the marquee will be followed by live musical performances on the outdoor stage in the garden. There will be lots to keep you entertained, from a silent disco to fairground rides, and even casino tables. Food and coffee vans will also be open late into the night, alongside the double-decker bus serving cocktails and other bars.


All food, drink and entertainment is included in the cost of your ticket. Once you arrive, there is no requirement to pay for anything.


Timings:

1900 until 0200.

Dress:

Military - 2A / AWs (White Mess Jackets permitted) / Mess Dress.

Civilian - White or Black Tie.

Frequently asked questions

What is included in my ticket?

Everything! - You do not have to pay for anything during the evening. All food, alcohol, and entertainment is included in your ticket for the entire evening.

How many guests can I bring?

As many as you wish, as long as there is one MOD 90 / PNB Pass Holder for every eight guests.

How many spaces are on a table?

Each table can hold 10 people. An additional ticket at Mess Member price will be offered for those who bring a whole table of 10.

Will there be a photographer?

Yes, there will be multiple professional photographers who will take photos throughout the evening. Photos will be distributed to all those who buy a ticket after the event.

As a Mess Member, how do I pay?

Ticket prices will be added onto your Mess bill. It will be possible to spread the cost over multiple months if you speak to the Mess Office.

As a Non-Mess Member, when do I pay?

You must pay in advance if you are not a Mess Member in order to receive your tickets. This can be by BACs or by Credit/Debit Card.

Why have ticket prices increased so much?

Since 2019, ticket prices remained the same to help re-invigorate the Mess post COVID. However cost prices have also soared and this is no longer affordable. The cost price of the ball is now circa £250 per person, so this still represents exceptional value for money.
