Journey with us from the Beecroft Art Gallery into the darkest corners of the cosmos, as part of our free, four part lecture series 'The Science of Space'.


Is time travel possible? Do we all experience time the same way? What is the twin paradox?This talk is a beginners introduction to topic of time travel, discussing Einstein’s theory of special relativity, the constancy of the speed of light, the unfixed nature of time and much more.

This talk is accessible for ages 10+. Older children and adults will enjoy this talk, children younger than 10 are welcome, but some may struggle with understanding the content.

Tickets are free, but prebooking is recommended. Please note that tickets are per person attending the talk. Every attendee will need a ticket.


Robert Clemenson is a theoretical physics researcher and lecturer based at the University of Sussex and Royal Holloway, University of London. His research focusses on models of the Universe involving extra spatial dimensions, and dark matter.
