Come and hear about Tension or Trauma Release Exercise, a somatic (body) practice that teaches therapeutic tremoring to release stress, tension, excitement and trauma from the body.

Our body physically contracts and produces cortisol when we experience stress, this is a wonderful response that helps us sustain - but overtime too much too often can create inflammation in the body and lead to illness. TRE shaking gently and naturally releases these contractions and dissipates the cortisol helping us reduce the impacts of stress.

When stress in our body reduces, inflammation reduces we can begin to feel more relaxed and sleep better which in turn makes us more resilient.

There is a follow on drop in workshop immediately afterwards if your curiosity is piqued...

Glimmering Workshop: Pocket-sized pieces of Polyvagal Theory, glimmers and foundational somatic practices for TRE.

7:15-8:15pm

In this workshop we explore and practice simple exercises for grounding – using the senses to be present in the here and now, embodiment – noticing the sensation in the body and self-regulation – making choices about what to do next.

Along the way Mags will share parts of polyvagal theory and draw on the concept of glimmers to build our resources for resilience.
