Carers Leeds, Leeds City Council and Leeds International Piano Competition proudly invite you on National Dementia Carers Day to celebrate all that you do and the positive impact you have on the lives of those you care for.

Join us for an afternoon of piano performances, dancing and cream tea.

This free event is for all unpaid carers. You are very welcome to bring the person that you are caring for. We especially welcome unpaid carers supporting a person living with dementia.

Public Transport

We recommend you take public transport to the event where possible. The venue is easily accessible by buses from all across Leeds and is only a 10-15 minute walk from Leeds Train Station.

Does the venue have parking?

Leeds Civic Hall is on Calverley Street just past the junction with Great George Street. There is no parking at the Civic Hall, although there is a dropping-off area to the side of the Civic Hall on Portland Crescent.

Where can I park?

The nearest car parks are the Rosebowl, Portland Crescent (LS1 3HB), Citipark Merrion Centre, Merrion Way (LS2 8BT) and Woodhouse Lane Car Park (LS2 3AX). Please note we do not accept any responsibility for parking in these car parks.

Accessibility

There is disabled access into both ceremony rooms via the Portland crescent side entrance and, when the conference room is being used for ceremonies, at the back of the Civic Hall.
