Does life feel like it's running away from you? Do you struggle to find time and space to make meaningful descisions? Does the news leave you feeling anxious or lonely?

If you're struggling to pause, reflect and fend off distractions — group meditation could benefit you

Physically doing things and mentally thinking about doing things is what most of us do every day, all day. We’re constantly on the go, and even if we don’t look like we’re doing something — we’re probably thinking, or worrying about the things that we need to do or haven’t done yet. Feeling the need to be constantly productive can be exhausting, it can cause us to feel overwhelmed and anxious, and mean that we’re far less efficient in the long term.

Making time to notice how and why we’re thinking, feeling or behaving in a certain way, and how and why our actions and emotions could be affecting us and those around us can be transformational. It’s a paradox, but the process of slowing down tends to provide us with more time and space for the things that matter. This process of pausing and reflecting helps us to connect with our minds, hearts and bodies, and understand where we’re at.

Join me for a complimentary group meditation on the second Monday of the month, 6.45-7.30pm (UK time).

Space to Be is a group meditation facilitated by me — Karen Liebenguth. Sessions will take place via Zoom on the second Monday of each month. Sessions are free of charge and open to anyone who has a desire to pause, connect and increase their perspective through practising meditation.

Frequently asked questions

Who is Space to Be for?

Space to Be is for anyone who is looking to make time to pause, connect and increase perspective

Do I need meditation experience?

It would probably be helpful if you have some previous meditation experience. Space to Be hasn't been designed to train people how to meditate, but the sessions are guided by a facilitator - to help make sure people get the most out of their time together

Who facilitates Space to Be?

Karen Liebenguth, a master coach and mindfulness practitioner. Karen supports both organisations and individuals though her own business - Parcival

Why was Space to Be created?

Karen Liebenguth has been coaching leaders since 2007. Although people have their own unique lives and challenges - the one thing they all complain of is a lack of time and space to pause, reflect and reset. Karen has created this space for people who need it

What is group meditation, and what makes it special?

You can meditate alone, but as many of us now work from home and spend more time alone - some people are drawn to sharing the experience with other human beings. Connecting with others, and joining a regular practice session also helps create space for accountability

What is guided (or facilitated) group meditation?

The facilitator (Karen) will take responsibility for ensuring the session runs smoothly and that everyone gets the most from their time. Karen will begin the session with a guided breathing exercise and help keep the sessions relevant and on track

How often are Space to Be sessions held?

Monthly. With the exception of August and December, the sessions are held on the second Monday (18:45 - 19:30 UK time) of each month.

I want to know what others think about Space to Be

Here's a testimonial from Ruth, a Space to Be attendee: "Although I have a strong individual practice, there is something very powerful about sitting with others. Karen guides us to a quiet and safe space where we can share what is alive for us, if we so choose."
