Silver Branch - The Clock Tavern (Westport)

Come join us at The Clock Tavern for an evening of live music by Silver Branch accompanied by Cellist Ri Dunne and supporting act Laura Ryder.

Silver Branches live shows take on a range of different approaches, from acoustic short story songs of Love and perseverance, to upbeat electric guitar indie/punk songs of grit, defiance and humour. He writes songs from the perspective of an old heart, questioning our experiences, our connections to the past and the unruly bodies we inhabit. Incorporating analogue drum machines/synths and cello this duo deliver music in its most unadulterated form, light and shade run through the songs with an urgency and tenderness that often reflects the Jekyll and Hyde world we inhabit.

“A poet of the storytelling tradition, nuanced in his own form with songs of richness and believability that is hard found” - David Keenan.

“The next big thing… Kieran Mulvihill is a fantastic song writer. His music reminds us earnestly but with one foot in the Earth to love our loved ones while
we can and while they are with us” - RTE Culture by Junior Brother.

Laura Ryder is a piano-wielding songwriter and composer, who also performs with a varying line up of talented collaborators under the name Laura Ryder Ampersand. For fans of the likes of Fiona Apple, Regina Spektor, Darwin Deez and Joanna Newsom, Laura writes piano-based songs which range from classical-influenced lyrical pieces to energetic full band alt-pop arrangements. Vestigial, the band's debut, was released in late 2017. Capable Of is their latest single.Their sophomore album is due for release in late 2024
