Description

Our Flagship SGSAH Summer School is back for June 2024. Running since 2015, Summer School has become a fixture of the calendar for arts & humanities PhDs.

The Summer School brings together researchers and external partners from all over Scotland and beyond. We offer a range of practical workshops, talks, masterclasses and lectures responding to the latest developments in the sector and the needs of researchers.

This year, the SGSAH annual Summer School is continuing last year's hybrid approach: online & in person. A series of live workshops and participatory sessions will be delivered across four days, w/c 17 June 2024. The online Summer School will take place on 17 & 18 June and the in-person will take place on 19 & 20 June at The Advanced Research Centre building on the University of Glasgow campus. Please note that a small handful of workshops will take place at external locations around Glasgow.

We have various other events happening during the week too. We will also be having our SGSAH Roundtable Reunion on 20 June, 4:15-5:15pm to celebrate and learn about SGSAH's 10-year history!

Find out more about the Roundtable here

We will also be hosting our Doctoral Research Showcase on 20 June, 5.30-7pm, creatively exhibiting the work of doctoral researchers from across the country. The showcase will be in the central atrium of the ground floor of the ARC. We welcome anyone interested in arts & humanities PhD research in Scotland to come along.

Find out more about the Research Showcase here

A vegetarian / vegan buffet lunch will be served in the ARC atrium on 19 & 20 June from 13:00 - 14:00.
