Child Poverty and Social Inclusion Policy Discussion

Dr. Tricia Kielthy, Head of Social Justice and Policy at St Vincent de Paul will speak about the impact of child poverty on children and parents, the success and gaps in tackling it, and what the government needs to do next.

Dr. Joe Whelan, Assistant Professor in the School of Social Work and Social Policy at Trinity, and author of 'Hidden Voices: Lived Experiences in the Irish Welfare Space'. He will discuss his current research on Welfare, Working and Caring for One Parent Families.

Louise Bayliss from Focus Ireland and founder of SPARK will then facilitate a discussion with lone-parent and kinship care families facing child poverty.
