Research for Greener Surgery Conference 2024

Following the success of our inaugral Research for Greener Surgery Conference last year (attended by a multidisciplinary audience of 290 delegates), we are running a second conference on 17 December 2024. Please join us to hear from key opinion leaders in sustainability, learn about sustainability research you can get involved in, and share ideas around innovation in sustainability, including a global perspective.

Tickets:

Non-profit healthcare staff and students: tickets are FREE but require a £50 deposit because at our 2023 conference a third of registered delegates did not attend on the day resulting in food and resource waste. The deposit will be refunded following attendance (minus a £4.88 Eventbrite fee). Tickets can be refunded before 16 November 2024. This tickets can be booked by any non-profit organisation.
Industry: £100 non-refundable ticket.

All catering is vegetarian.
A quiet room will be available.

Is the conference free for healthcare staff and students?

We ask for a £50 deposit as at our 2023 conference a third of registered delegates did not attend on the day. The deposit will be refunded following attendance (minus the £4.88 Eventbrite fee)

Can I cancel my ticket?

Yes, you can cancel your ticket up to 30 days before the conference date (16 Nov 2024) and your deposit will be refunded (minus the Eventbrite fee). After 16 Nov 2024 we will not be able to offer refunds as this is the cut-off for confirming catering with the venue.

Can I present my work at the conference?

Yes, there will be an opportunity to present posters relating to sustainability in healthcare. Please look out for our call for abstracts, which will go live in the coming weeks. The top 5 abstracts will be published in Impact Surgery and there will be a prize for the best poster.
