About the show:

After receiving devastating news about her health. Brianna reevaluates her life, her experiences, how she wants to live her life. If she wants to go on living at all. Exploring her memories, navigating racism, fatphobia, misogny and hyper sexualization. Defying rules placed on her by society to find her self-worth and empowerment through movement and spoken word.

This is an expansion of Song's MFA dissertaiton project inspired by the novel the Valley of the Dolls, and is a work in progress.

Content warnings: discussions of Cancer, sexual assault, child abuse, suicide ideation, partial "nudity", very strong language


About the performer:

Song has been performing in theatre for 14 years in Chicago,IL in the United States. Her work included historical dramas, Shakespeare, new works of immersive theatre and cosplaying in Steampunk and Comic communities. As a soon to be recent Graduate of East 15 Acting School's MFA International program, she is expanding her base to the U.K.

Originally from Los Angeles, CA, Song has lived in 6 states. After earning her Bachelor of Arts degree from Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL she moved to Chicago, IL where she had the pleasure to become a member of Terra Mysterium and Ghostlight Ensemble Theatre. Exploring Ritual theatre, Steampunk and immersive stories that uplift marginalized voices (BIPOC, Women and Queer stories) Song enjoys Shakespeare, historical dramas, sci-fi/ fantasy, musicals, physical theatre, and children's theatre. When not acting Song also enjoys, cosplay, crochet and all sorts of handmade crafts.
