Frequently asked questions

It is my first yoga class ever. Can I Join?

I welcome beginners to yoga with welcome arms, yoga is all about doing it at your pace and your level. Most important thing is that - you TURN UP!

I have injuries and disabilities that do not allow me to do all the poses. Can I Join?

Yes. I have people who practise with who are either fully visually impaired or partially. I have people with various medical conditions that practise with me. You can always modify or skip a pose, you can always stop, take a rest and join later. Yoga is meant to be accessible for everyone!

I have a more advanced practise. Is there a point in joining this class?

Yes. I am a vinyasa, rocket and power yoga teacher myself, with a background in professional gymnastics. If you give my class a go, I will give you enough fun modifications to build strength and practise inversions.

Always Learning. About Yourself. On and Off the Mat.

My name is Julia Mihaylov (Huuhtanen).

As a former gymnast, Julia discovered yoga as a natural progression to physical exercise. Julia was a professional rhythmic gymnast for 10 years. When she ended her career as an athlete, there was a empty gap that needed to be filled. And yoga was a natural fit into this empty space.

Julia started yoga about 10 years ago, Julia randomly stepped into Triyoga, when it was still in Primrose Hill. Starting out with some occasional Ashtanga with Eileen Gaulthier and Vinyasa with Ryan Spielman or Aram Raffy for the first couple of years. In 2015, Julia turned up to Marcus Veda's class of Rocket (Vinyasa that time in TriYoga) by accident. And that accident turned into love from the first time. Back to that challenge of gymnastics, and into the beat of those tunes.

Following about 4 years of practise almost solely with rocket, Julia went on to Marcus's retreat to recover from some work related-stress. Then really learning how yoga can bring on mental results, and stillness. And really mind can be trained like the body, Julia decided to dive deeper. She completes her Vinyasa Flow Teacher Training with Marcus in May 2020. In 2022, Julia finished her pregnancy training and 50h Yin Yoga training.

Julia teachers beginners and more advanced practitioners, as she really wants to share the effect that yoga can bring on the mind with her students.

Julia has a MSCi degree in Physics.
